i really wasnt impressed with the SC pc demo, the interface seemed somewhat clunky. But my laptop wasnt really up to the task so i suppose its to be expected that it wasnt perfect. I'll definately try the 360 demo, if only to see how the game translates (i was quite impressed with BFME2 and C&C3, but they were both EA....)

I honestly dont understand the point of this article. I own both consoles and not once have cared in the slightest about slight graphical differences between platforms - its the playing experience that is key (when the differences are big, it effects the experience. If they are small, it doesnt. Period). Its only the real technophiles (respect) and the fanboys (may you die of gonnorrohea and rot in hell) that actually give a damn. Who cares if uncharted looks better than Gears of war or not? ...

thats a big surprise (of course its only opinion) - given that the ps3 implementation is fully certified and has been in the works for so much longer its surprising it doesnt measure up to that on the 360....doesnt matter to me much though - the 360 doesnt support DLNA media servers, so i'll still be using my ps3 for videos anyway!
this isnt a slur against the ps3, but maybe people need to remember that up until quite recently, the ps3 was the cheapest blu-ray player around. That is definately a factor - people may have just bought it for the movies, and actually have no interest in gaming. cant say i agree to be honest, uncharted, in my opinion, is no more than ok. I found R&C to be far more of a "must play" game - uncharted doesnt make me really want to keep playing. Right now, its sitting on my shelf (i'm about half way through) and other games are far more of a draw. I dont really know why, there is nothing truly wrong with it, but it just doesnt grab me.
fact is, the only reason i bought uncharted was the hype on this site. I would never have heard of it otherwise. That suggests to me that sony really didnt put much into the marketing of the title. If i'm honest, i've not seen a great deal of coverage of any ps3 games other than heavenly sword (on tv at least). Obviously you tend to see more coverage for multiplatform titles, but m$ seems more active in mass advertising than sony does.
In the end, sales dont make any difference...
DJ - the wii stats dont surprise me entirely - with the ps3 and 360 you're not developing with the goalposts moved completely. You're still following similar control patterns etc. The wii is a completely different animal, and devs are struggling to separate gimmicky use of its controls from innovative and clever ways.

i wonder how they calculate attach rates.. just from my experience i tend to buy a few games then live off trade-ins/swaps unless a title really begs to be bought. I'd assume attach rate is an average across the console owning community?

if thats the case i'll get the 360 version. Tend to find that when a multiplatform game is damn near identical on both platforms (which this appears to be, minor graphical details aside) i get the 360 version, only cos most of my mates are on live, and i'm something of an achievement nut :O)
to be honest, at least as far as the 360 is concerned, my top 5 are:
1 Halo 3 (just cos its plain fun and multiplayer just drags you in constantly - no other game this year keeps me coming back so much, despite its shortcomings)
2 Bioshock
3 Mass Effect (it would have been number 2, but i wanted space battles!!! ;o) )
